Grapes
The sun hangs low in the clear Autumn sky, as I explore the rows of a vineyard by the lake. Ten minutes, and the sun will be down! I scramble for each shot, like a thief in a room full of gems. |

Matheson Creek Farm (above) is a charming fruit and vegetable stand, which I pass regularly. The building is of Straw Bale construction, and the owner, Dave Sloan, has lived his whole life on the property. I appreciated his openness in letting me spend quite a few hours combing the vineyard over several days. |
I fell in love with the shapes and colors of so many unusual varieties of table grapes (above and right) that were growing at Matheson Creek Farm. Dave will have to give me the names again, when I have a pencil and paper. |

I do know that the grapes to the left are Pinot--used to make the Pinot wine. These grapes grow tightly together on the bunch. |
