Trestle bridge over the Similkameen River, British Columbia

Though beautiful, many of pine trees in the picture above are changing colors, not to come back again next Spring.

The Northern Pine Beetle has killed these trees.

There is a lot of talk these days about Global Warming.

But it hits home when I see forests around me going brown.

The Pine Beetle has been around forever, but it is usually kept in balance by the severe cold of winter, which kills a percentage of its larvae.

With warming global temperatures, its population has spiraled out of control, destroying entire forests in a few years.

Fortunately, the Earth still offers abundance in all directions.

But, can we afford to ignore these changes?

How much CO2 emissions do you produce? And how can you reduce?

Have a great week!
