Early morning clouds reflected in the lake

Vaseux Lake, near me, is a regular stopping place for migrating birds.

So I ventured out, yesterday morning, to see what was up at the lake.

When I arrived, I was captivated by the subtle colors of the clouds reflected in the lake.

It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it—I just love the morning light.

Hundreds of migrating birds float on Lake Vaseux.

As my eyes scanned the water's surface, I could see hundreds of birds floating out a ways from the shore.

The Canada Geese swam by in formation, while the mud hens and ducks kept their distance.

And several pairs of swans filled the air with their trumpeting.

Canada Geese make for MacIntyre Bluff.

I'm not sure if they were Trumpeter Swans, or Arctic Swans, but they were certainly trumpeting away!

Have a great week!
