Vaseux Lake, near me, is a regular stopping place for migrating birds.
So I ventured out, yesterday morning, to see what was up at the lake. |
When I arrived, I was captivated by the subtle colors of the clouds reflected in the lake.
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it—I just love the morning light. |

As my eyes scanned the water's surface, I could see hundreds of birds floating out a ways from the shore.

|
The Canada Geese swam by in formation, while the mud hens and ducks kept their distance.
And several pairs of swans filled the air with their trumpeting. |
 |
 |
I'm not sure if they were Trumpeter Swans, or Arctic Swans, but they were certainly trumpeting away!

Have a great week!
