Graffiti on a wall... ornate lettering

Enhancement or defacement? Beautiful or criminal?

I guess graffiti love depends on point of view...

And on whether it's your building being used for canvas.

Personally, I love to see it. Fresh paint makes old, abandoned places come alive.

Bright, vibrant colors grab my eye and make me wonder who could be the source of this amazing creativity.

Doorways become blue jellyfish.

There are no rules in this work of self-expression.

Graffiti - Happy

I love to see the care and skill and fun with which these murals are created.

It's a free-form collaboration and a competition for attention. Each layer builds upon the other.

No one's work is sacred and nothing lasts forever.

The rule is simple: keep creating or get covered-up.

I never expected to find so much graffiti in the small town of Penticton, BC, but it surprised me even more to see how several shopkeepers have joined-in to decorate the backs of their stores too.

Creative thinking is contagious.
