Happy Summer!  I hope you are having some fun in the sun this year.

I had the pleasure of drving across the western United States and Canada last month for the first time.

All of the photos from this email are now available as free wallpaper here to subscribers of this newsletter (link expires on July 18, 2007).

I almost stepped on a rattlesnake while photographing these horses in Montana.

The wind generators, at the top of the page, are in western Alberta, just at the edge of the Rockies. I loved finding my way across the back roads to these amazing wind farms.

Wild sunflowers, below, cover the hillsides of British Columbia.

Camping under the stars is my favorite. I woke up in the middle of the night with the moon setting through the trees, and a million stars above. This image looks better in the large version here.
