Regarding my impending online shop, I just purchased some Ribba frames from Ikea. Very reasonably priced! I like the black modern look of them for my photographs. Now I'm on the hunt for some subtle decorative silver frames. These frames will be for display purposes at my shop. I feel seeing the product in a frame will be more appealing for potential customers. Then there is the consideration of finding the right frames for my fine art. So many choices!! Although for now at least I won't be selling my pieces framed, I am considering providing matting services for customers. However, seems a lot of time and effort having to cut mats and backing boards. Might help to do a bunch at one time. In any case, should I decide this route, I'll be using acid-free, archival products. Otherwise, if this is going to be too much hassle, I might end up just purchasing precut matting.
