We don’t have Thanksgiving over here in Australia, but I’ve often watched American movies with scenes of Thanksgiving in them….. the turkey and all that, everyone around the table dishing up and sharing …. and thought how lovely it would be to have a holiday that focuses on family and giving thanks for all the wonderful things we have in our lives.

Of course, there’s nothing stopping families doing that whenever they want to, but it just seems to get left by the wayside in our fast paced and hectic world. Having a day that reminds us of the importance of family and our connections to one another is very noble in my opinion! Wish we had it over here.
