Traveling Today

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

I’m headed to Southeastern Washington today and tomorrow to photograph the rolling farmland there. I won’t be bringing my computer, so I’ll catch-up with everyone when I get back.

It’s a beautiful day here… I hope the sun is shining where you are too!

Guest Photographer: Sarah Pearce

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Yesterday evening I went out photographing with Blaine’s niece, Sarah. She had never used a camera in manual mode with a tripod, but she caught on very quickly. We spent most of our time in an apple orchard that is starting to bloom. The door photo is just across the street from Sarah’s house.

I hope you will enjoy Sarah’s photos:

My Dad’s New Woodworking Website

Friday, April 11th, 2008

I created a website for my dad, Edwards Smith, who makes wood bowls, kitchenware, toys and other fine woodworking items. There are some great gift items if you’re looking for a birthday gift for someone. My favorite is his Handmade Wood Jewelry. Check it out.

My Sister’s Company in Wall Street Journal

product photography for Buttoned Up, Inc.

My sister’s company, Buttoned Up, Inc. has an article in the Wall Street Journal this morning. I have done most of the photography for Buttoned Up in the last few years and one of my photos appears in the article!

If you didn’t see my January newsletter featuring my sister’s company, click here to read more.

She makes great organizational binders and pads for keeping your life buttoned up. My favorite is the receipt catcher.

She has binders for your move, for your valuables, and your taxes. She has special pads for your baby sitter, your travel plans, your shopping list and much more.

It’s well worth a visit to her site GetButtonedUp.com. Or check out her blog for lots of organizational tips.

Congrats, Sarah! :)
